The Lions 57-0 win over visiting Kisumu RFC on Saturday has lifted them to second place in the Kenya Cup, level on points with leaders Mwamba, but with a game in hand and an inferior goal difference. The Lions who led 26 – 0 at half time scored their tries through Les Mango (2),Philip Wamae, Francis Mwita, Oliver Mang’eni, Kevin Ochieng, Sebastian Shivoka, Arthur “Sir Serwanka” Shikwe and Michael ” Zebra” Omondi. Fabian Olando kicked over four conversions and Peter Mutai two.

The Cubs ended Western Bulls unbeaten run in the Eric Shirley Shield, beating them 7-3 in the earlier clash at the Lions Den. They stay second in the E.S.S behind the Bulls.
