Kenya Commercial Bank RFC (3) v Impala RFC (4)

Lions Den, Ruaraka

Howard Okwemba’s KCB began the calendar year 2012 as the league’s only unbeaten side, boasting a 100% record. Nakuru exposed the chinks in their armour, rallying from 13-25 to draw 25-25 against the Lions at the Lions Den on Saturday 7 January before Mwamba RFC inflicted their first defeat of the season, a 22-10 win on Saturday 14 January at the RFUEA.

KCB will be out to end their two match winless streak against an Impala RFC side that are the second highest points scorers in the league and has won two matches on the trot, rising to fourth in the latest league standings. With just two points separating these two sides, a win for the Gazelles would see them leapfrog the Lions and enter the Kenya Cup’s top three.

The Cubs play Impala II from 3pm at the same venue.

Another potentially explosive encounter.
