Mwamba RFC (2) v Kenya Commercial Bank RFC (1)
RFUEA Grounds, Ngong Road
Match Referee: Bosco Muamba
Assistant Referees: Collin Stanley, Alan Khakame

Heading into the sixth round of matches in  Kenya’s top league, these two sides sit pretty atop the league table. Home side Mwamba RFC are placed second on the log, having accumulated fifteen points courtesy of three wins and two defeats in their five outings to date. They led the table at the end of the 2011 calendar, but KCB’s 25-25 draw coupled that narrow 22-20 loss to Impala RFC last weekend saw the two sides swap places at the league’s summit.

These two sides treated their fans to two close encounters during last season’s campaign, Mwamba edging out KCB 22-17 in the first before Fabian Olando’s last gasp penalty saw the bankers win the return leg 32-29.

With Kenya Cup’s pole position at stake, this fixture is likely to be as competitive as they come. Mwamba will be motivated by the need to reclaim top spot while KCB, leading the log with seventeen points courtesy of three wins and a draw from their four outings will be out to consolidate their lead and preserve their unbeaten record.

KCB II who are also unbeaten play Mwamba II from 3pm at the same venue in the Eric Shirley Shield.

This match takes place at The RFUEA Grounds as Mwamba’s home venue, the Nyayo National Stadium is unavailable this weekend.
