Dear Members,
NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of KCB Rugby Club shall be held on Saturday 30th July 2011 at The Lions Den, Ruaraka at 3.00 pm.
1. To receive and confirm the Minutes of the last AGM.
2. To receive the Chairman’s, Team Manager’s &Treasurer’s Report.
3. To receive a Statement of Accounts.
4. To elect the following Office Bearers of the Club:
a. Chairman
b. Treasurer
c. One (1) Committee Member
5. Any Other Business of which due Notice has been given.


Pursuant to Rule 17(3) of the Constitution:

In the spirit of separation of powers, any active member of the playing unit
(members vying for selection to the regular league sides) are not eligible to vie for any club committee position.
Pursuant to Rule 17(6) of the Constitution: All office bearers shall hold office for a term of two years from the date of elections subject to Rule 13, and thereafter, be eligible for re-election.
Pursuant to Rule 21(4a-b) of the Constitution: A motion shall be placed on the Agenda of the Annual General Meetings: At the discretion of the Committee. By giving notice in writing, duly signed by the proposer and seconder, to the Club Secretary not less than twenty one (21) days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
Pursuant to Rule 21(5a-b) of the Constitution: Nominations for the election of office bearers shall only be valid if submitted in writing, bearing the signatures of the proposer, the seconder and acceptance of the nominee, to the Club Secretary fourteen (14) days before the date of the Annual General Meeting.

Upon receipt, the said nominations shall be placed on the Club Notice
Board and shall not be removed from the Notice Board before the eve of the Annual General Meeting. If no nominations are received in totality as per Rule 21 (5) (a), such nominations shall be done on the floor provided that there is a legitimate proposer and seconder, and the nominee accepts.
Pursuant to Rule 21(5e) of the Constitution: All candidates for the position of Treasurer must have a minimum financial qualification such as an accounts diploma from a recognized tertiary institution or a Degree in Finance from a recognized institution. In addition, the said candidates must have minimum of three (3) years experience in their respective fields.

The interested candidates must provide proof such certificates before their nominations are accepted.
