Fifteen players who were in the national under-20 squad, which traveled to Tunisia for the qualifiers, have been retained in the squad, which was named by coach Mitch Ocholla.KCB’s Jeremy Njoroge, Curtis Lilako and assistant coach Paul Murunga are part of the set up.

The coach is upbeat and is looking forward to quality build-up matches against some of the club sides, which will be playing in the Chairman’s Cup from next week. Some of the Clubs, which Ocholla targets, are Kenya Commercial Bank, Impala, Mwamba and Nondescripts.

He explained that KCB and Mwamba would give a good test in pack play while Mwamba and Impala will be a stern test in open play. The larger squad of 35 players will continue practicing together with the Africa Rugby Confederation under-19 championship in Harare, Zimbabwe in August in mind. “What we need is continuity,” the coach said.
